Benjamin began his career in 2005 trading grains at Infinium Capital Management, a large proprietary trading group in Chicago. Over his eight-year career at ICM, his team successfully led the firm's expansion into several products. Under Benjamin's lead, the natural gas options desk became one of the most accomplished desks at the firm. Launched in July 2007, the natural gas desks quickly became a top-3 option volume participant and the number one market-making firm in Natural Gas. Benjamin looked to build on the success of ICM's natural gas desk when he partnered with the commodities-focused fund Dixie Asset Management in 2013 to build out a systematic volatility trading portfolio. At Dixie Asset Management he fine-tuned his systematic volatility trading model prior to founding BMG Energy Trading in 2015.
